Jacob Bourjaily publishes monograph with Cambridge University Press

Jacob Bourjaily, Assistant Professor at the Niels Bohr International Academy, publishes the monograph Grassmannian Geometry of Scattering Amplitudes with Cambridge University of Press. The book was written together with collaborators Nima Arkani-Hamed (IAS), Freddy Cachazo (Perimeter Institute), Alexander Goncharov (Yale), Alexander Postnikov (MIT), and Jaroslav Trnka (UC Davis). It outlines a new formulation of perturbative quantum field theory, and presents a self-contained and authoritative analysis of the application of this new formulation to the case of planar, maximally supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory. The book begins by deriving form first principles the connections between scattering amplitudes in four-dimensions and Grassmannian geometry, introducing novel and important physical and mathematical ideas in a systematic manner accessible to both physicists and mathematicians.
