NBIA Simons Visitor program
The NBIA has just received generous support from the Simons Foundation in New York under their 'Targeted Grants to Institutes' program. This grant will help fund six Simons Visiting Professorships over the coming three years and includes important support for thematic open programs built around these Visiting Professorships. The first program is expected to start on July 1st, 2016. Details will appear elsewhere on the NBIA home page.
NBIA Visiting Professorships
Thanks to a generous donation from the Ib Henriksen Foundation the Niels Bohr International Academy can offer supplementary salary for Visiting Professors from the U.S.A. who wish to spend all or part of their sabbaticals here. The Ib Henriksen Foundation is a private Danish foundation that supports science research as well as postgraduate education in the sciences and other areas. While there are no formal requirements of teaching with the Ib Henriksen U.S. Visiting Professorship, it is normally expected that longer-term visiting professors will provide some research-oriented teaching either in the form of a series of seminars, colloquia or in study groups. The Ib Henriksen Visiting Professors are provided office space on the premises and participate actively in the scientific environment at the NBIA. For further details please contact the NBIA Director.
