Weria Pezeshkian receives 2024 Frank Blaney Award

Novo Nordisk Foundation Assistant Professor Weria Pezeshkian is recipient of this year's Frank Blaney Award. The purpose of the Frank Blaney Award, which is administered by the international Molecular Graphics and Modelleing Society, is to support young researchers in the field of molecular modelling and computational molecular science. Weria Pezeshkian is Principal Investigator of the Computational Microscopy Group at NBIA and his main focus is to develop multi-scale computer simulation schemes, often referred to as a computational microscope, to bridge the gap between simple models and complex reality and provide mechanistic insight into cellular processes. Their “bottom-up” approach connects molecular-level interactions to emergent behaviors on a larger scale, providing experimental predictions at the macroscopic level.
