Title: A Method to Compute Neutrino Oscillation Probabilities for Arbitrary Time-Dependent Hamiltonians
Abstract: In this project, a method was developed to compute neutrino oscillation probabilities for arbitrary two- and three-neutrino time-dependent Hamiltonians, without having to diagonalize the Hamiltonian. This new method consists of looking at very small intervals when computing the probability amplitude at each step. When comparing the method to a known and exact solution for time-independent Hamiltonians, the new method gives exact results within the small intervals and overall very precise results with a small error. The method was also used to find the neutrino oscillation probability in cases with time-dependent Hamiltonians; going through the Earth, and through the Sun in the two-neutrino flavor case. These probabilities also behave as expected.
