Title: Emergent causality and gravity

Abstract: I discuss the possibility that the form of causality that we are familiar with may be an emergent property of a more complicated theory. Perhaps we are already considering such a theory in gravitational physics. This possibility will be motivated with a set of recent calculations, which have unexpected consequences.
