Sarah Pearson joined the NBIA in 2023. She holds a Marie Curie Fellowship and a Villum Young Investigator grant, and she will establish a group to investigate what stellar streams around other galaxies in the Milky Way can teach us about dark matter.

Sarah received her PhD in astronomy from Columbia University in the City of New York in 2018, after which she moved to the Flatiron Institute as a Research Fellow. Before returning to NBI, where she obtained her bachelor's degree in 2012, Sarah held a NASA Hubble Fellowship at New York University.

Her research focus is computational and theoretical astrophysics, and her interests span a broad range of topics, including galaxy interactions, globular clusters, galactic dynamics, stellar streams, and dark matter.
