Ersilia obtained her MSc degree from Bari University (Italy) with a thesis on axion-like particles production in photon conversions in large-scale coherent magnetic fields.

In January 2021, she started her Ph.D. in the Astroparticle Physics group at the Niels Bohr International Academy, under the supervision of Irene Tamborra. Her project aims to investigate non-thermal neutrino production in astrophysical transients.
