Natascha Leijnse is an experimental biophysicist who received her PhD from the University of Copenhagen. After a postdoc at Stanford University, she returned to University of Copenhagen. Her research helps unravelling cellular responses to mechanical stimuli, using, for example, optical tweezers in combination with fluorescent live cell imaging. She is now a member of the Active Intelligent Matter Group where she focuses on understanding mechanotransduction of transcription factors relevant in cancer development.
