Cristian Vergu graduated from Ecole Normale Supérieure (Paris, France) and obtained his PhD in Theoretical Physics from Paris VI University and IPhT Saclay. He held postdoctoral positions at Brown University, USA, ETH Zürich, Switzerland and King's College London, UK.

His research interests focus on obtaining a deeper understanding of N=4 supersymmetric gauge theory through the application of several types of tools like twistor theory, AdS/CFT correspondence, integrability, the techniques of unitarity cuts and leading singularities, perturbative worldsheet computations in the dual string theory, multi-Regge kinematics, super-Wilson loops, as well as mathematical results about transcendental functions.
