Conor Dyson obtained his Master degree from the Department of Applied Maths and Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge in 2022. He joined NBIA in October of the same year as a PhD student in the “strong” Gravitational Physics group working under the supervision of Vitor Cardoso and Maarten van de Meent. His research is broadly in the field of black hole perturbation theory with specific focus on applying the self-force approach (a form of singular perturbation theory) to modelling black hole binaries.
