Alejandro Vigna-Gómez received his PhD from the University of Birmingham (UK). He is interested in massive stars, which are the progenitors of gravitational-wave sources and other extremely energetic transients. He uses numerical methods to study multiple-star systems and double compact objects. From 2023, he will join the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics (MPA) as a Stellar Fellow.
