Prashant is a postdoctoral researcher at NBIA working with Prof. Karel Proesmans. He obtained his PhD from the ICTS in Bangalore, India in November 2022. The general theme of his research has been non-equilibrium statistical mechanics. More precisely, he has worked on Brownian motion and random walks, active particles, stochastic resetting, extreme-value statistics, single-file motion and functional statistics. At NBIA, he is exploring the field of stochastic thermodynamics with a primary focus on its applications in biological settings.
